HEALTHY HAIR GROWTH-NATURAL HAIR-HAIR LOSS PROBLEMS

FACTORS THAT EFFECT HAIR LOSS

01) Chemicals:A) Perms, B) Cuts, C) Relaxers Over processing the hair through the use of chemicals causes breakage of the hair and damages the scalp which can result in hair loss.

02) Heat.:A) Hot Comb, B) Flat Comb, C) Hot Curl, D) Blow Dry Excessive heat will cause the hair to become dry , brittle, and split at the ends. The scalp from excessive heat will start to get dandruff.

03) Hair Spray:Avoid the aerosol spray can. It contains synthetic resins of varnish, shellac, lacquer emulsions laced with perfume and alcohol. The resins of aerosol spray not only seal the hair, they also seal and clog the follicle openings. Heavy use of spray can lead to hair breakage, dandruff, itching, sores, dry brittle hair and even hair loss.

04) Brush:A) Plastic, B) Nylon, C) Metal These brushes pull, tear, and break the hair cuticle. The Boar Bristle brush is suitable for all kinds of hair and will help promote health, maintenance, and vitality to the hair and scalp.

05) Split Ends:Split ends must be cut off the hair or the hair will split up to the scalp and fall out. Let the hair tell you when it needs to be cut. Don't wait until the ends of the hair are too thin, dry, tangled or split.

06) Combs and Combing.:Do not force the comb through the hair or you will stretch the hair follicle thus making it weak, which causes breakage. Use a comb with the teeth a comfortable distance apart to prevent tangles, knots and breakage.

07) Gel.:After prolonged use of gel the hair gets dry, dull and brittle, then it loses its sheen and luster. The scalp can also become very dry causing dandruff.

08) Weather:A) Spring, B) Summer, C) Fall, D) Winter In the Spring and especially the Summer the hair dries out from the humidity. In the Fall and Winter the hair gets hard from the Rain, Snow and Wind. Then it gets dry because of the heating systems in the homes.

09) Hereditary:The color, quality, texture, thickness of the hair has been genetically transmitted from parents to offspring.

10) Traction Alopecia:A) Rollers, B) Corn Rows, C) Sleek chignon style, D) Rubber Bands, E) Freeze. Traction Alopecia is hair that is receding or patching bald spots from pulling.

11) Anything that disrupts the internal system contributes to hair loss. A) Malnutrition, B) Pregnancy, C) Severe illness, D) Underactive Thyroid, E) Certain medications, F) Chemical or X-ray therapy.

12) Dandruff is caused by A) Nutritional deficiencies, B) Poor physical health, C) Bad diet, D) Mental and emotional stress, E) Overactive sebaceous glands, F) Scalp injury, G)Accumulation of scalp bacteria, H) The use of harsh and injurious hair and cosmetic products. If dandruff is allowed to persist it develops into thick layers of dead cells which smother the scalp causing the hair root to lose sufficient oxygen. This results in hair loss and the hair to grow in weak, dry and thin through the scalp.

IN ORDER TO HAVE HEALTHY HAIR, WE MUST STOP ABUSING IT. Hair must rest in order to heal itself.
